Cookie & Storage Policy
Last updated: 9 September 2026
This page explains the small files and browser storage Log Habit uses — what they do, how long they last, and how you can control them.
What we use
Log Habit does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We only use the minimum storage needed to run the app:
- Authentication session (cookies & local storage). When you sign in with Google, a secure session token is stored so you stay signed in between visits. It expires automatically and is removed when you sign out.
- Preferences (local storage). Your theme choice (day/night, minimal/neubrutalist), reminder times, and display settings are saved on your device so the app looks the way you left it.
- Offline cache (local storage & service worker). Your habits, entries, and tracker data are cached on your device so the app opens instantly and works with a poor connection. Changes sync to your account when you're back online.
- App shell cache (service worker). When you install Log Habit to your Home Screen, the app's files are cached so it launches fast, like a native app.
What we don't do
- No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No selling or sharing of cookie or storage data with advertisers.
- No analytics cookies that follow you across other websites.
Third-party storage
Google sign-in may set its own cookies during authentication, governed by Google's privacy policy. If you pay for a plan, Razorpay may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention and payment processing.
How to control or clear storage
Signing out of Log Habit clears your cached habit data from the device. You can also clear everything through your browser:
- Chrome / Edge / Brave: Settings → Privacy → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites → search "loghabit.online" → delete.
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → remove loghabit.online.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
Clearing storage signs you out and removes offline data, but anything synced to your account is restored on your next sign-in.
Changes to this policy
If we add new types of storage (for example, optional analytics), we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
